OUR STORY

Chile Prístino was born from a dream — one that took root during Joaquín Lagos’ years studying Ecotourism. After years of exploration, planning, and living in Chile’s most breathtaking destinations, that dream became reality. Founded in 2020 and officially launched in 2025, Chile Prístino was created to offer discerning travelers exclusive access to Chile’s most pristine natural wonders through a lens of authenticity, sustainability, and deep cultural respect.

MEET OUR FOUNDER: JOAQUÍN LAGOS

A native of the historic port of Valparaíso, Joaquín Lagos — known to many as “Joako” — is both an artist and a certified ecotourism expert from Universidad Andrés Bello in Viña del Mar. With over a decade of experience guiding travelers through Chile’s diverse landscapes, Joaquín has cultivated a profound connection to the country’s ancestral traditions and natural ecosystems.

He brings a rare blend of creativity, environmental stewardship, and deep local knowledge to every journey. Certified by CONAF and SERNATUR, Joaquín has led private and curated experiences across UNESCO World Heritage cities, iconic regions like San Pedro de Atacama and Torres del Paine, and many of Chile’s hidden gems.

His philosophy is simple yet powerful: meaningful travel transforms both the visitor and the places they explore.
